10月23日晚19点，由湖南省教育厅主办、长沙民政职业技术学院承办、湖南省大学生篮球协会协办的湖南省第三届高职高专学生篮球比赛在我校大运一馆拉开帷幕。湖南省政协原副主席刘晓、湖南省教育厅巡视员应若平、湖南省学生体育协会主席刘建湘、长沙民政职业技术学院校长李斌、湖南省篮球协会秘书长王志诚、湖南省教育厅体卫艺处二级调研员金彪、长沙民政职业技术学院副校长谢希钢、湖南省教育厅职成处四级调研员王宇、本次比赛总裁判长李学军出席开幕式。在主席台就坐的还有本次比赛组委会委员、仲裁委员、技术代表、以及各参赛代表队领队。本届比赛共有34所高职院校、48支队伍、576名运动员参赛。开幕式由湖南省教育厅职成处副处长彭文科主持。

开幕式第一项，我校校长李斌致欢迎词，他代表我校对所有参赛队的到来表示热烈地欢迎，也预祝各参赛队在比赛中能取得优异的成绩、本届比赛比赛取得圆满成功；大会第二项，湖南省教育厅巡视员应若平致开幕词；最后，由湖南省政协原副主席刘晓宣布本次比赛正式开幕。

我校体育舞蹈队、武术队、健美操队及大学生艺术团的学生们为全体观众带来了精彩的开幕式表演，用青春与活力给观众们送上了一场异彩纷呈的视觉盛宴。

23日的揭幕战由东道主长沙民政职院对战航空职院，凭借绝对的实力和猛烈的进攻，长沙民政职院以108 ： 57的大比分完胜对手，赢得首场比赛的开门红。

据悉，本次比赛10月23日开赛，10月30日进行冠亚军争夺赛，为时八天，共计123场比赛。谁能拿下本届大赛的冠军，让我们拭目以待。
